I watched a great message from Andy Stanley last Sunday. He asked the question, If you were a commercial, what would you be advertising? Something to think about on this St. Patrick’s Day.

If you want more money, give away more money. If you want to be appreciated, show more appreciation. If you want to be loved, demonstrate your love to others.

We had a strong snowstorm here in Fredericksburg on 1/3. There were trees that I thought were so strong that came tumbling down. Their root system was not strong enough to make it through the storm. As I reflect, I wonder if my root system is strong enough to battle the storms of life. I say yes! My wife, family, friends and church have all circled around me during my time of need. How deep is your root system?

Success is not like Hollywood. It is the ordinary day to day tasks that garner success. Hollywood makes it seem like it is all roses. If it is not easy, then something must be wrong. In addition, we see all the smiling faces and accomplishments on social media and we tend to fall into the comparison trap. Why does my neighbor have this or that and I do not? We overlook all the work that most likely went into getting what we covet.  To improve, Keep looking vertically versus horizontally!

When going through life most of us take health for granted. I went through COVID in late December and early January. My new motto- Health is Wealth!

Want to see magic? Wave or smile at everyone you meet and they will most likely smile back. We have an opportunity to brighten or dim any room. The world is a reflection of what you bring into it. Paraphrased from my time with Darren Hardy this morning.

It is easier to be good than available. I need to improve on being more available to help people even if it means interrupting my day.

Accurate Forecasting that’s what we need to run a business. In 3 steps- Have a nose to nose conversation with the salesperson to get accurate feedback on 1)The probability the opportunity will close 2) Projected Revenue and 3) Timeframe.  No fluff just candid feedback.
